About me

a picture of me

Hi, I’m Matthew, a young eager sound engineer. I’ve always had fascination for music and how it is made, learning bass from a young age and developing my musical palette which led me to take music technology at A level and further pursue this at the University of Sussex.

I graduated in 2024 and hope to use my skills and knowledge to develop my career. My degree allowed me to spend countless hours learning and gaining hands on experience with the recording studio and live set ups as well as many other skills such as coding audiovisuals, instrument design and development and photography and photoshop skills, all of which I am still developing. In my third year I participated in Sussex’s innovation and enterprise program where I interviewed 4 different studio engineers from studios around Brighton, to create a modern recording studio based on feedback from the engineers. This gave me great advice from professionals in the industry and was a great experience to learn from.

I am currently looking for a position in the industry where I can develop my skills and add to my knowledge and experience. The most important thing for me at the end of the day is to collaborate and help people sonically, either by creating visuals to pair with a live performance or helping find the right position for a room mic to get the drums sounding as good as they can.
